Black Angus Farm, by its positioning, benefits from a special natural setting in a submontane region, owing to the richness in minerals and vegetation provided by the former volcanic area of the Gurghiu mountains.

Biodiversity plays an important role in the health of ecosystems, ensuring the richness of the pastures used. We can be proud of pastures rich in nutrients and plant mass, having more than 100 grass species/m2, determining the best quality natural feed for our cattle, with visible results in the quality of the obtained meats, in terms of marbling and tenderness. The same biodiversity ensures the development of healthy forests combined with volcanic rocks, which results in the best springs, from which our cattle drink.

Far from any source of pollution, near the spa resort of Sovata, on the upper valley of Nirajul Mic with crystalline springs, a sparsely populated area and 25 km east of Târgu Mureș, our farm benefits from 145 ha of natural submontane pastures, zootechnical constructions and modern, environmentally-friendly slaughterhouses that ensure the best quality raw material.

The farm was established in 2016 by converting a former Charolaise cattle farm.

These almost ideal natural conditions are favorable to the Angus breed that has adapted perfectly to such a climate, and at the same time it is a breed with a huge potential to make a great use of the qualities of the natural pastures available.

Standards and Certifications

On our farm, the entire meat production process is carried out according to standards, starting with the breeding, rearing environment and feeding of the cattle, until the meat is obtained, processed and packaged, so that we can deliver the specific quality of Black Angus.

Black Angus Farm holds ISO 22000 “Food Safety Management System” certification for meat processing and preservation, which attests to the quality of the process.

We have also received the Award of Excellence for the valorization, support and promotion of meat products, certified by the European Mountain Product Quality Scheme.


By buying products from local farms and producers, you will ensure their freshness, bearing in mind that they do not travel thousands of kilometers to reach your table.


Thanks to the optimal, stress-free environment and conditions, in which the cattle are raised and the natural feed they are fed, the quality of the meat is superior. It is a multivitamin of nature.


The special taste of Black Angus meat is provided by its main quality (marbling), which also gives it a truly special tenderness, flavor and juiciness that will surprise you.


Angus beef is considered healthy due to its high content of protein, amino acids, minerals, Omega 3, vitamins B12 and B6, Zinc, Iron and low cholesterol.
